Religious wedding & Christening services

For those with a past or present link to the school, the beautiful Victorian chapel, completed in 1858 and enlarged in 1918, provides the perfect setting for your private wedding service, accommodating up to 120 guests.

The christening or naming ceremony of your child is a joyous occasion and St Edmund’s can stage both the service and the reception. We offer exclusive use of the beautiful chapel, or one of our private rooms, and a choice of excellent caterers for your celebratory function. We cater for intimate gatherings or large groups of up to 120 people.

Civil ceremonies and partnerships

Approved for civil marriages, civil partnerships and renewal of vows, St Edmund’s offers versatile choice within its majestic buildings and grounds. The elegant drawing room has a terrace with breath-taking views, and the oak-panelled dining hall provides a traditional setting for your wedding breakfast. Outside, the romantic Bath limestone-arched colonnade provides a wonderful alternative, followed by a marquee reception on the lawns.

In Memoriam

St Edmund’s Victorian chapel offers a beautiful, peaceful surrounding for private religious memorial services conducted with dignity and grace. For non-religious ceremonies, St Edmund’s provides a calm and restful venue for the memorial itself and afterwards, a flexible choice of reception alternatives to celebrate the life of your loved one.
